The 4 Hour Work Week
For a couple months now i have been hearing buzz about "The Four Hour Work Week". I heard talk about it from a friend, saw it referenced in a blog, then on Seth Godin's blog, then my Mom mentioned it to me and that was the final straw. I added the author, Tim Ferriss to my rss feed and finally made it to a book store this weekend to buy the book. So far it is definitely a fun read that give you that 'ican't wait to turn the page to see whats next' excitement with continual inspiration, it reminds me of when i first read Guy Kawasaki's book "The Art of the Start". Tim's book seems to be somewhat of a 'my life as a startup' version with a nice 37 signal's-esk no bs 'getting real' approach. Tim continual coins the phrase "Lifestyle design" damn, doesnt that sound sexy. I'm only a couple chapters in but i'm about to create my first dreamline, or a 6 month timeline of dream accomplishments. Some of the early chapters have focused on convincing me that I can leave my job, he does provide a very convincing argument, and had i not already done so i would be inclined to make the leap per his advice[it was also a nice little pat on the back, reassuring me that i did the right thing]. So now that the book is somewhat caught up to where i'm at lets see what's next. If you haven't done so yet, check out Tim's blog, he always has something interesting going on. http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/
